The ‘bio-based coagulant’ is not new, but relatively unknown. Very new is, that Paxos and the PWW pre-coagulant form a powerful team.

Paxos is developed from Acacia tree bark, and functions as an organic replacement for metal-based coagulants using aluminium and ferric chlorides.

Paxos works by neutralising charges, destabilising them, producing floccules, and causing their sedimentation.

Paxos is produced in a sustainable manner from renewable forests.

It does not consume the environment’s alkalinity, therefore it does not change the pH of the water being treated. This makes the use of alkalising agents unnecessary in many cases.

Paxos is 100% biodegradable during digestion, it overcomes the known disposal issues of ferric chloride-contaminated sludge. Sludge can now be processed into a green fertilizer. 

Paxos can be used as the primary coagulant or as an auxiliary flocculation agent. It is compatible with most products used for this purpose.

And in most cases, due to its effectiveness, it lowers OpEx!
